We are passionate musicians, music-lovers, educators, youth advocates, teachers, advisors and board members who are committed to fulfilling the Infinite Music™ mission of transforming kids’ lives through music.

Board of Directors
Sarah Mason
Founder and President
Sarah's strong commitment to mentor young musicians is the driving force behind this grassroots organization. She has a deep compassion for kids that are underserved musically. With Brubeck to the Beatles as her household's familiar soundtracks, Sarah developed an early appreciation for a variety of music. Starting at a young age, she studied classical piano with notable teachers and performed in numerous competitions and concerts from grade school through college. Today, Sarah continues to be both a learned listener and accomplished performer. Always grateful for the music experiences she received and experienced as a child, she strongly believes that music, as a universal language, is a powerful force for good. For today's young people, there is a need to continually develop innovative and inspiring musical programs. Sarah's instrument arsenal includes four pianos, a flute, and a turquoise special edition Fender Telecaster she wishes could magically channel the tasty chops of Jeff Beck.
Karen Worcester
California Regional Water Quality Control Board
Karen is a Senior Environmental Scientist for the State of California, and has worked for many years on water quality issues on the California coast. And beyond that, she is a dedicated musician. She is a flutist with the San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra, and also enjoys playing mandolin and flute in the band "The Distractions", backing up the "Rockin' Ukes" ukulele jam. Music has always been a joyful part of her life and she knows well the importance of an early exposure to a great music education.
James Vanko
HarvestMoon Inc.
Jim's love of music began at an early age, learning and playing guitar with his musician father, attending concerts, and performing with his peers. It was the '60s after all, so things are little fuzzy but his great passions were music and a love for the outdoors. He graduated from Michigan State University with three degrees, all of course having nothing to with his career spanning over 30 years of producing music festivals, concerts, and stage productions. Jim brings a wealth of experience to Infinite Music™ by forging strategic partnerships with talent agents, music manufacturers, fellow producers and musician friends, furthering Infinite Music's mission of musical empowerment for youth. His interest in music spans to his own infinitely cool guitar collection and real records—yes, "flat, black and circular."
Cary Maffioli
Cary comes to Infinite Music with a background in accounting and a passion for music. For over 20 years, she has successfully helped a diverse base of businesses with tax preparation and planning, auditing, business consulting and financial management. As CFO for Infinite Music, Cary has immersed herself in fostering partnerships that support and create unique music education programs. Her commitment to helping young people thrive is apparent in her volunteer service for a number of educational foundations. In her spare time (if she has any), Cary is known for her undying love for outdoor music festivals and is known to travel far and wide to hear her favorite performers and dance the night away.
Nancy Albee
Semi-retired R.N.
Nan grew up listening to a variety of musical genres and artists from Elvis and Patsy Cline to Johnny Cash and Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. Like many of us, she was influenced as a teen by the popular music of the time: Joni Mitchell, Led Zeppelin and The Moody Blues. Since Nan was a natural talent at buzzing her lips, she took to the trumpet in elementary school and studied and performed through high school. Today, Nan is inspired to learn the ukulele. She feels passionate to be a part of Infinite Music, and believes that music plays a powerful force in the lives of young people. Her desire is to bring world rhythms to deserving youth, exposing them with opportunities to play and sing.

Infinite Music Founding Board Member & CFO

With fond remembrance of her dedication to Infinite Music, Mary was instrumental in helping the nonprofit receive its 501(c)3 status in 2013. Although her life was cut way too short in October 2015, we felt fortunate to have her as the foundation's first CFO. Her experience and insight were invaluable. Her wisdom and perspective were significant in helping Infinite Music become a viable nonprofit. Mary will be remembered for her can-do attitude, infectious laugh, and her insatiable love of country music.

Mary was a kind and giving supporter of many children's efforts. We will always appreciate her time and talents in furthering Infinite Music's™ mission to provide music education and empowerment for youth.
